COLLEGE-PREP COURSEWORK

Online G3 has provided quality online courses for over a decade. Our online teaching methods are based on the same online learning research that colleges and universities have used to design their own programs. G3 alumni frequently email us from college to thank us for providing them with opportunities to practice the skills that would lead to their later success. While students may see these classes as simply fun and interesting, here at G3, we know that we are preparing them for success in college.

G3 also employs a college model of course selection and enrollment. Our students register for classes of interest on an a la carte basis. Families can mix and match courses to meet their students’ diverse academic needs. College is not a one-size-fits all approach to education and neither is G3.

ADMISSIONS RESOURCES

We know that homeschoolers and other independent learners don’t always have access to the college and career counseling services that are available to high school students. So, resources to assist students with career planning and the college admissions process are available to the students via the G3 Student Launchpad. Additional resources are being added all the time!

As a member of NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling), Online G3 has access to much of the same news and resources as your local high school and we can pass that information on to our families.

In addition, motivated students can register for classes and workshops that provide more structured and detailed guidance with a cohort of peers.

ASU

ASU DUAL ENROLLMENT

G3 has partnered with Arizona State University to provide dual enrollment classes! Students may register for select online ASU classes via G3 to take the class with a cohort of G3 peers. G3 simplifies the registration process and can assist with test proctoring and credit options. In addition, assigned G3 instructors lead weekly webinars and support students with study skills, executive functioning, and calendar planning.

Student progress is closely monitored by G3 staff to help students achieve success in each course. However, at the end of the course, the student has the option to decide whether or not to place the course on an official ASU transcript for college credit. This allows the student to earn high school credit and attempt college credit without fear of failure! Students can choose to drop or audit the ASU course at any time. If the student chooses to finish the course and place the credits on an official ASU transcript, an additional $400 fee (payable directly to ASU) will apply.

Available courses vary each semester, but include options typically not available to high school students, such as Paleoanthropology, Sociology, European History, etc.

HECA

PERSONAL CONSULTATIONS

Some families may wish for more personal guidance on the path to college. In these situations, G3 CEO and Founder, Jaime Smith, is available for consultations. Jaime holds a certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant from University of California, San Diego Extension, and is an active member of several professional college counseling organizations, including the following:

IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association), HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association), NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling), WACAC (Western Association for College Admission Counseling), PNACAC (Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling).
