Dystopian Literature and Modern Literature of Multicultural America
These classes are designated as Teen Focus courses for students ages 12 and up, primarily because of the mature content in the books. Class discussions include commentary on themes of social justice, climate change, post-apocalyptic societies, etc., and may include some adult language. Please review book lists carefully before selecting these courses for your student.
Some experience with literary analysis experience is expected. Older teens who struggle with the readings of Introduction to 19th Century British Literature may prefer to take these modern courses before taking a British literature course.
