Learning activities include regular writing to communicate ideas via the discussion forum, videos and multimedia materials to support learning, use of web 2.0 tools to illustrate new concepts, and weekly participation in live webinars.

Grade Level

Appropriate for grades 9 through 12. This is a high school literature course open to students ages 12 and up who are prepared to read and discuss literature at a high school level.

Time Commitment

Most students report spending approximately 3 hours per week on homework outside of the webinar.

Lightning Lit 8 or equivalent
Student should also be able to write a paragraph independently. High school level writing is not required and composition instruction will not be covered in this course.
