Minecraft: A Parent’s Perspective

Wondering about Minecraft’s effects on your children?

Enthusiastic children and adults around the world have made Minecraft one of the most popular video games available today.  However, many parents worry that their children are or will become addicted to the game.  Others see educational benefits to playing and creating with the open-ended software.

Kathy Cordeiro and her sons, Jacob and Adam, are intimately familiar with these questions.  The boys are not only avid gamers, but programmers and authors as well.  Jacob, a high school senior, is the author of several Wiley titles, including Minecraft for Dummies and Minecraft Redstone for Dummies.  Adam, a former G3 student, is the author of Minecraft Construction for Dummies.

See Kathy’s take on Minecraft from a parent’s perspective at Wiley Press.
